Our Story

DAB Learning Consult started as a part time one-on- one classes with health professionals mainly nurses who reached out to me (Mr Dominic Adu-Boahen) to assist them in their preparation for the writing of the International English Language Testing System- IELTS. Having taught English, Mathematics, Science and Religious and Moral Education for 4 years before pursuing further studies for a degree,I took up the challenge in spite of the fact that my major subject specializations were Economics and Social Studies,I picked up the challenge to go through manuals and training sessions with the British Council to meet the new challenge as a facilitator for the IELTS Lessons. This continued till the year January, 2020.

After the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown, people’s interest in traveling overseas declined so it had a cascading effect on study and work abroad industry and by extension IELTS instruction. I planned to go on release from Western to Ashanti region but unfortunately government had put a freeze on employees release. Gladly, between 2021 and 2023 there was a boom in the tourism industry and this boosted the enrollment in the classes.

From then, the work load as Economics and Social Studies teacher , school counsellor in addition to the growing IELTS demand was so enormous.
After a careful consideration,I resigned from the GES to take up a full scale task iny new field of endeavor. This paved way for me to research further into study abroad business from friends firms and the internet from mid-year 2023 till May 2025.

This period successfully positioned me to formally register DAB Learning Consult and the rest has been history and successful stories.
